Tech Specs
MOD 4 construction features a blend of poplar, bamboo, and Paulownia wood with thin bands of bamboo wood running along the edges for increased edge hold and stability at speed. SIMS Twin Wave Form technology takes core construction one step beyond by thickening the core under the binding hole patterns, resulting in greater shock absorption and quicker edge-to-edge response from the slight increase in leverage.
The NUB uses Tri-Tex fiberglass, SIMS's most advanced, high-end matrix, and a 50mm wide strip of I Carbon. This fiberglass/carbon combo increases power and pop, provides smooth rebound out of the turn, and is extremely durable. Sliding on SIMS high density, high-speed Premium Racing Base, this board is a rocket. Available in 7 sizes to rule it all.
Traditional Camber
A single convex arc between the board’s contact points ensures predictable edge hold, load, and rebound as pressure is exerted and expelled throughout the rider’s turn.
MOD 4
A unique blend of poplar, bamboo, and Paulownia wood in a balanced array, make this Core lighter and provide increased repulsion, increased strength, and a lively feel.
Twin Wave Form
In accordance with the position of the hole pattern and the camber, the thickness of the core surface is partially adjusted to create a unique flex, enhancing shock absorption and control.
Premium Racing
This base utilizes a high-density, high-speed base material chosen for its molecular weight, which delivers unrivaled speed, excellent wear resistance, and increased wax permeability.
Regular Tip
A traditional construction that features full wood core content from tip-to-tail for smooth-flexing stability and durability.
Tri-Tex
Our most advanced matrix is a 3-way layup that combines Light fiberglass at 0º, 45º, and 90º degrees, ensuring unquestionable pop, rebound, flex, and torsion in our highest performance boards.
